Editorial Policy and Review Process
- The Journal of Business, Management and Economics Engineering is firmly committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity, transparency, and publication ethics. The journal strictly follows the ethical guidelines recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure fairness, accountability, and originality in all stages of the publication process.
- All manuscripts submitted to the journal are initially evaluated by the Editorial Office to determine their relevance and alignment with the stated Aims and Scope of the journal. Submissions that are found suitable at this stage are then subjected to a plagiarism screening process using Turnitin or equivalent similarity detection software.
- As part of our quality control standards, manuscripts are generally expected to maintain a low similarity index, preferably with less than 20% overall similarity and minimal single-source overlap. However, all similarity reports are carefully interpreted in context by the Editorial Team to ensure that legitimate citations and references are not misrepresented.
- Manuscripts that successfully clear the initial screening are forwarded to a Pre-Review Committee comprising subject matter experts. This committee conducts a preliminary academic evaluation to assess the novelty, methodological soundness, and contribution of the manuscript. Based on this assessment, the committee may recommend one of the following:
Advancement to full peer review
Rejection at the preliminary stage
Revision and resubmission prior to peer review
- Manuscripts selected for further consideration undergo a double-blind peer review process, wherein both reviewers and authors remain anonymous to ensure impartial evaluation. Final decisions regarding acceptance, rejection, or revision are made based on reviewer recommendations and editorial judgment.
- In cases where revisions are requested, revised manuscripts may undergo additional rounds of editorial scrutiny and peer review before a final decision is made.
- The journal maintains continuous communication with authors throughout the submission and review process via email. The expected timeline for editorial decisions is as follows:
Initial desk screening outcome: within one week of submission
Pre-Review Committee decision: typically within 4–8 weeks
First peer review decision: approximately within 3–4 months
- The journal operates under a strict no publication fee policy, and at no stage are authors required to pay any charges for submission, review, or publication.
- The Editorial Board reserves the right to make minor editorial modifications to accepted manuscripts to enhance clarity, formatting, language quality, and overall presentation, while preserving the academic integrity of the work.
